41. Tendrils

Finding the two-tone leaf on the way to the laundry room.

Five loads of laundry washed, dried, folded and put away.

A big batch of rice and soup made and apportioned for the week's lunches.

The folks who posted a link to this Washington Post interview with poet Billy Collins. I enjoyed reading it for many reasons,  chiefly these two: "I'd like to say that poem for you" (a moment that made me tear up) and what he says at the end about gratitude.

The example of the pea tendrils, among the weakest, most fragile things in the garden — until they find what's been provided for them to climb on, and take hold, and become among the strongest, most tenacious things in the garden.

What did your day hold?
