56. The church

After three Sundays away, I was grateful to be back with my church people today.

For someone making a beeline toward me with a hug and "I've missed you."

For the fact that the guy teaching class can look at me and know when I have something I want to say.

For our many bodies forming one body in congregational singing.

For eye contact during communion.

For teasing as a form of familiar affection.

And for the member of the lunch bunch who has loaded her phone's Randomizer Wheel app with a bunch of local restaurants, so she can spin the wheel and let it pick a lunch place instead of the round-robin "I picked last time / I don't care / not it, neener" that we usually go through.

What were you grateful for today?
